Updated over 3 months ago

Change overview

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide your employees with the best possible resources to support their wellbeing, we’ve decided to move your Online GP service from Perkbox Medical, powered by Doctor Care Anywhere, to HealthHero on July 14th.

Why we’re making this change

As well as continuing to improve the service we offer your employees, our move to HealthHero means a more integrated service, and won’t require your employees to download and use a separate app.

What does this mean for your employees?

Employees based in the United Kingdom will need to register with HealthHero to access their new online GP.

From July 14th, your employee will have access to their new online GP powered by HealthHero. To book an appointment for the first time, they’ll need to register.

Appointments booked before 14th July with Perkbox Medical (Doctor Care Anywhere) will be honoured.

If your employee booked an appointment before July 14th, their appointment will still be honoured. Even if the appointment is scheduled for a later date, it will still be honoured as long as it was booked before July 14th.

What will happen to my employee’s data on Doctor Care Anywhere?

Their medical records will still be safely stored by Doctor Care Anywhere and can be accessed through their Perkbox Medical (Doctor Care Anywhere) account, just like before. Doctor Care Anywhere are required to retain GP medical records for a specified period of time by law. In the UK, they're required to retain GP medical records for the life of the patient plus 10 years.

To access Doctor Care Anywhere, they’ll just need to use the same login details as before.

While accounts will remain open on Perkbox Medical (Doctor Care Anywhere) for employees to check their old records, the service will switch to a pay-as-you-go account. So, for your employees to access their free Online GP benefit, they must book through HealthHero after July 14th.

Who do I contact if I have an issue with Online GP powered by HealthHero?

Email the HealthHero customer service team at help@healthhero.com

*Some limitations on overseas prescriptions.

**HealthHero can provide an open private referral letter, meaning it cannot be used to access NHS services in the UK
