Polls are a great versatile tool for recognising team members and promoting peer-to-peer recognition. They also ensure that different individuals are recognised, rather than the same people being recognised all the time.
Our platform offers a variety of poll options to help you get started, and you can also create your own unique polls, here's a refresher on how to create a poll. Don't be afraid to get creative and have fun with it! There's no right or wrong when you're creating a poll but If you need some inspiration for new poll ideas, keep reading.
A few tips to create new recognition polls:
Base your recognition poll on a theme. Eg: "The Rock Award" where you recognise people who always have your back and are ready to lend a helping hand and give great advice when you need it most.
Is there a behaviour you notice that needs to be improved in the team? Eg: If you notice a few team members only care about their work and there's a lack of collaboration or teamwork, highlight Collaboration / Teamwork in a poll and take the opportunity to recognise team members who are doing it to influence the rest of the team.
Have the team members been putting in a lot of effort and maintaining a positive attitude? Show appreciation for their hard work by participating in a poll. For example, who has consistently worked diligently without complaints and brings positive energy to the team?
Be specific with your industry or what you do. Eg: if you work in the construction field, consider creating a poll about safety or which employees excel at using protective gear. If you work in healthcare, you could create a poll about the best bedside manner.
Here are some recognition poll examples you can use that have been tried and tested with the Perkbox community.
