Welcome to Perkbox!

We want to make sure your launch goes smoothly, so we’ve put together a handy guide to help you.

Firstly, check that you’ve received your welcome email (pictured below). It could end up in your spam folder, so be sure to check there if you can’t find it. Select 'Join now' to activate your account.

Don’t worry if you can’t find it. You can chat with one of our Customer Happiness team members by clicking the blue button on the bottom-right of your screen, and they’ll be happy to send you another welcome email.

Step 1 - Whitelist our IP Address 📩

We know this is a dull one but it's super important that your IT team whitelist our IP address before launch, so your firewalls and spam filters don't block our welcome emails from being sent to your team.

Here's a handy guide on how to do this.

Step 2 - Customise your Perkbox platform

Once you have activated your account, it is time to customise your platform.

Select 'Enter Admin' at the top right of the home page to access the admin dashboard. From here, you can start working through your Set-Up steps.

There are four stages to setting up your Perkbox platform, completing these stages is key to creating a successful and engaging platform for your employees! We go into more detail about these steps further down in this article.

🤝 Manage access levels for Celebration hub

Sometimes you may want some people (like a manager) to have a higher level of access to Recognition than others. For times like that, navigate to the admin section, as we did at the beginning of this article.

  • Select 'Settings'

  • Select 'Recognition Permissions'

  • Each section has a drop-down form. This is where you manage settings

  • When you have completed your selections, a pop-up will appear. Select 'Update Permissions' to confirm any changes you've made.

Step 3 - Build a buzz

You're all set up - now it's time to put your marketing hat on. Perkbox is best launched to an excited team who knows what Perkbox is, and why they've got access to it.

We'll give you everything you need to build the buzz in your team.

To help you spread the joy, we have a bank of teaser emails and posters that you can share in your office or internal comms channels such as your newsletter, Microsoft Teams, Slack etc.

  • Check out your Comms checklist here

  • Download the App poster here

You also have access to our Resource Centre which is full of posters and flyers to support you in launching Perkbox.

Step 4 - Automating your platform

  • Enable Single Sign-On - Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites by using just one set of credentials through your identity provider, such as Google Workspace or Azure (a Microsoft Office product). Your employees will no longer need to remember different emails or passwords to sign into Perkbox. Only one set of login credentials existed within Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, for example. Here is a help article to get started.

  • Perkbox for Microsoft Teams - this app will help you bring more visibility and drive better engagement with your recognition strategy. It enables your employees to recognise each other within their existing workflows in Microsoft Teams. Perkbox for Microsoft Teams can be downloaded from Microsoft AppSource and you can find a guide on how to set up your Perkbox Microsoft Teams app here.

Step 5 - Adding employees

1: create teams - this allows you to put your employees into their relevant teams for more in-depth reporting to see how your teams are engaging with the platform. It also allows for team-specific recognitions and custom benefits. See how to add teams here.

2. add your employees to Perkbox - you can either sync Perkbox with your People Directory or upload your employees by CSV. This step will add employees to Perkbox and automatically trigger the welcome email to them.

Integrating your Active People Directory connects your existing directory provider such as Workday, BambooHR, Google Workspace with Perkbox. The main benefit is to automate your onboarding and offboarding processes with starters and leavers, which could save you hours of admin!

3. Assign team managers - now assign the roles of team managers. They have different access levels, so they can purchase and allocate Reward points.

Step 6 - Kickstarting Reward initiatives

The Perkbox Reward feature is a global, currency-agnostic reward system that will allow you to send Rewards to all employees, wherever in the world they are.

Rewards are sent in the form of Reward points, and employees get to choose how to spend their points from the Perkbox Reward catalogue. This means they can choose a reward that’s valuable to them!

Check out our guide on how to start rewarding employees here.

If you set up team managers within Perkbox you can assign them a Reward budget so that they can allocate points directly to their teams!
