Different ways to save with Perks

Not all perks work the same way – and that's a good thing. Perkbox offers several types of savings so there's always something that fits how you shop. Here's a quick guide to each one.

A gift card perk lets you buy a discounted virtual gift card for a specific brand. You pay less than the card's face value, then spend the full amount when you shop – online or in store.

Gift cards are one of the most popular ways to save on everyday spending like groceries, fuel and dining out.

Some perks come with a unique discount code. Copy it from the Perkbox app, head to the retailer's website, and paste the code at checkout. The saving is applied immediately.

With discount link perks, the saving is built into the link itself. Just click through to the retailer from Perkbox and your discount is applied automatically via an affiliate link – no code to copy or paste.

Cashback perks let you earn money back on purchases you're already making. Shop with a participating brand and a percentage of what you spend is returned to your Perkbox wallet – ready to put towards gift cards on Perkbox. Cashback won't expire and can be combined with other Perkbox savings.

Depending on your organisation, you might have access to Flexi points. If you've received Flexi points, you can spend them on something meaningful to you from the Flexi perks catalogue – whenever you like.

On selected deals, you can also choose to earn points back instead of taking an upfront discount. It's a great option if you'd rather build up savings over time. Points are redeemed automatically first when you make a purchase, and they expire after 12 months – you'll get a notification before that happens.
